Ether Adventure Camp

In My End Is My Beginning-A celebration of life
At a youth level we will explore the emotions of encouraging self during moments of transition plus the bravery needed to be fully our authentic selves. The Hero's/Heroines journey.
Questions will be explored such as:
-
What are some of the transitions you have experienced?
-
How do you handle change?
-
How can you be the vessel of your own life-neither half full nor half empty but the vessel experiencing life as it flows through cycles.
Like the cycles in nature, we as humans go through cycles, or transitions, too. Remaining fascinated by the opportunities presented by each transition.
There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.
—Rachel Carson

During our hike we will identify and build on the connections between the cycles and transitions in nature and those that our campers experience in their day-to-day lives.
We will also look for objects to be incorporated into our art project for the day.
We will create vessels that reflect ourselves in clay and create nature kaleidoscopes.

We will all share stories of transition we have been through in order to help support each other through the loss, hurt, frustration we experienced while also helping each other see the opportunity, lessons, and new perspective that transition provided us.
